Events

The Club organises a number of events throughout the year, all of which are subsidised by the club. So for your membership fee you will see more than that back by attending our club events or just going on one surf trip.

Some are social events, like Christmas parties, barbecues, surf film nights, picnics/skates in the park, yoga classes.

Some events are for developing surf-related skills, in the past we’ve had duck-diving and free-diving (holding your breath) classes in a lido in South London.

We organise some ‘official’ group trips to the coast, including:

• “End of Summer” (start of the season!) long weekend trip in September
• Easter long weekend trip
• “Surf Clinics” to help develop skills under the guidance of qualified instructors
• Surf life-saving skills, again taught by qualified instructors
• Scarborough call-off weekend trip (need to drop everything at short notice when the surf hits)
